Winning a seat is going to be the easiest thing that Waterford’s three first-time TDs will achieve over the next five years if their respective aims in Dáil Éireann are to be realised.
Otherwise, their time in Leinster House could prove very short indeed in this vastly altered political environment.
In fact, before the new Ceann Comhairle will formally call the first bunfight in the Lower House to a halt, their respective re-election campaigns for the 32nd Dáil will, in essence, be underway.
No-one elected to this Dáil will be able to take their seat for granted come the next election. No-one.
