Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011 will be a date that will be etched in the memory of all Waterford people who were lucky enough to be present in Tolka Park to watch De La Salle College win their first ever All-Ireland senior soccer title.
To see the smiling Deise faces walk away from Richmond Road, Dublin 3 after a truly incredible match was a joy to behold, and the sight of the De La Salle players parading the famous Dr Tony O’Neill Cup around the famous old venue will live on forever.

    not taking anything away from the the team , congratulations to them , but did’nt de la salle win it in 1989 in the waterford crystal complex by beating de la salle ballyfermot in the semis and father griffen road from galway in the final and i think it was won 10 years before that. the pictures of the teams are/were up in the study hall

    that was the u16 team who won a national title in 1989
