Reigning champions Tramore reeled off a valuable victory by getting the better of a dogged Hibernians team in Graun Park.
The three points keeps the seasiders in touch of unbeaten Carrick United. Much attention focused on their new signing Kevin O’Brien, the former Waterford United and Villa midfielder, who performed admirably for his new club until he was replaced with four minutes remaining.
He will of course be joined by Joe Watson this week, as the ace striker has decided to move from his current club Waterford Crystal. Hibernians have been improving in recent weeks but they found Tramore a tough nut to crack.

Grace on the mark

The visitors were denied by the crossbar after six minutes when David McGrath took a pass from Michael Gaffney; however despite trying his luck from 45 yards after seeing ’keeper Mark O’Reilly off his line, the striker’s effort struck the bar.
After this let-off the home side created a chance of their own less than four minutes later when Michéal Downey flicked the ball into the path Kevin O’Brien, but the midfielder saw his cracking effort fly inches wide of Darragh Power’s far post.
