Carrick United made it six wins from six games on Sunday when they accounted for a Southend outfit who remain five points adrift at the bottom of the table. Alan Coady had Carrick leading one-nil at half-time. Thomas Fitzgerald brought his tally to seven for the season with a second-half brace. Daniel Murphy netted for a Southend team who have only scored three goals in total from seven games played. Sunday’s remaining match between St Saviour’s and Villa didn’t produce any goals.
