Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious road collision that occurred in Dunhill, Co. Waterford, last night (Tuesday 8 September).
The single-vehicle collision, involving a car, occurred at approximately 11.55pm at Reisk, Dunhill.
Gardaí and the emergency services immediately responded to the incident, and an adult male passenger aged in his late teens was transferred to Cork University Hospital (CUH) for treatment of serious injuries.
Another passenger, an adult female in her late teens, was transported to University Hospital Waterford (UHW) for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
It is understood that no other injuries were reported in the incident.
The road is currently closed for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area of Reisk, Dunhill, Tramore Co. Waterford between 11.20pm on Tuesday 8th September and 12:20am on Wednesday 9th September 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Tramore Garda Station on (051) 391 620, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station,” the spokesperson concluded.
