The eight-strong syndicate that’s been in place at Brady’s Quality Food on the Upper Yellow Road for several years will continue to toast its €1 million National Lottery win over the weekend.
The octet, whose numbers were produced during the ‘Millionaire’s Draw’ on New Year’s Day, will travel to National Lottery offices in Dublin next Monday to collect their winnings.
Until now, the most the syndicate had ever won were “a few scratch cards” according to Joan Brady, now €125,000 better off.
And it was only when Joan checked the numbers on Wednesday, after confirmation of a Waterford-based Lotto win that she realised that Brady’s numbers had come up!
