Waterford City Council has formally handed responsibility for its waste and recycling bin collection service over to private operator Oxigen Environmental, which will come into effect on February 28th.
Critically for existing City Council customers, there will be no change to the price of leaving one’s bin out every Wednesday morning, with the three-week cycle for the grey, green and brown bins also being retained.
Additional brown bin collections will also be provided during the summer months, as has become the norm in recent years.
