Waterford could well provide Senator David Norris with two of the four local authority nominations he requires to stand as a candidate in the Presidential Election, which will be held later this year.
Senator Norris was in Waterford on Thursday last where he attended the Munster Express/Dooley’s Hotel South East Heritage and Culture Awards, where he spoke about his presidential ambitions.
Confirming that he would be asking the Waterford city and county councils to give him the opportunity and honour of standing before the electorate, Senator Norris said his candidacy was his dream but he firmly believed it was a realisable dream.
