The three-string shanty group Compass Point came to Christ Church Cathedral for a coffee concert and Seán Hayes, Tom Mullane and Jim Corr were in a reflective mood and their set was tentative and nostalgic without much of the rousing ballad style usually associated with these folk groups.
Seán Hayes has a deep rich voice and his opening Leaving of Liverpool was a paddle down memory lane. Tom Mullane was in fine form for his composition The Dunmore Fisherman.
