Chris Tull has been the gardener at Lismore Castle for the past 18 years. The upper and lower gardens, situated either side of the avenue which leads visitors into the Castle’s courtyard, stunningly compliment the Duke of Devonshire’s Irish seat.
That Chris is doing a magnificent job is exemplified through the dazzling array of flora which wow thousands of enthusiasts season in, season out.
“We’ve lost quite a few plants over the past two winters,” he told this column at the launch of the Waterford Garden Trail in Lismore on Thursday last.
