The HSE has pledged immediate action, following revelations that a massive backlog at Waterford Regional Hospital’s rapid access prostate clinic is resulting in just 4% of men suspected by their GPs of having prostate cancer getting the potentially life-saving, fast-track diagnosis the State promised within 20 working days.
