Waterford’s largest private sector employer Bausch & Lomb has confirmed that 28 temporary employees at its local contact lens manufacturing facility are to be laid off over the coming weeks.
A spokesperson for the company attributed the job losses to a rebalancing of manufacturing needs in the plant. No permanent employees will be affected by the job losses.
