Never mind Boston or Berlin, Ireland should consider Bucharest: that was the upbeat sentiment proffered by Romania’s Ambassador to Ireland following a visit to Waterford last week.
During a courtesy call to The Munster Express, Ambassador Iulian Buga made the economic case for creating greater business and education links between Romania and Ireland.
Fresh from a visit to Waterford Institute of Technology and a meeting with Waterford Chamber Chief Executive Michael Garland, Ambassador Buga was thoroughly enthused by his trip down the M9.
“The overlapping of strategic, political and economic interests between our two countries is not so intense currently,” he admitted.
‘Greater Eastern European links will benefit Ireland’
I think not,
For me I see this country as how shall I put it “A lady of the night” the rest of the world don’t care about us just what they can get out of us and then pay pennies for getting it and we as a poeple will be left with the expression “Is that it”.
We give all these great discounts to those outside the country to come overhere and set up shop and just before the time runs out they pack up and leave and we are left with empty factories and more unemployed people.
When are we all going to say ENOUGH ! why can’t we just turn around and say come and set up your business here take it or leave it without all the promises. we all know they will take it for the great tax savings but in the long run setting up here is easy we have ports and transporation we could meet on equal ground without selling ourselves short.
And to those in factories looking for workers why are ye not helping your own people first I mean let’s face it everyone’s out to save a few euro but the likes of you are a disgrace. My words to you are “WAKE UP”
